01 · Community & Museum Memberships

New places to explore, all year long.

This year, we provided memberships to Union Station and the Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center, both allowing unlimited daytime visits. Clients have been exposed to new activities and have loved their time at these venues.

We've also provided a social membership to the Olathe Community Center, with swimming, walking, and workout activities available. Swimming remains a favorite.

02 · Entertainment and exercise

Music, movement, and lots of fun.

Everyone loves Mr. Stinky Feet! We were pleased to bring him for performances in 2023 and 2024.

Movin' and groovin' with Father John — our residents love it so much that we've scheduled him for monthly fun time to move and dance.

Let's dance! Learning to move and groove is a great time and great exercise too.

03 ·Hoilday celebrations

The Holidays, the Angel Tree.

Our current holiday celebration includes a catered dinner — an experience some clients have never had before. Everyone has a great time.



In December 2021, holiday cheer came to twenty clients who received gifts from the Angel Tree — clients who don't have strong family support to enjoy the season otherwise. Their eyes lit up when the parcels arrived, and FFLCKS felt such satisfaction seeing how this kind of support can change lives.

04 · In-Home

Building community, one group home at a time.

One parent or guardian from each residential home works with a quarterly budget from FFLCKS to put together events for residents. These special activities include family members and guardians whenever possible, extending the community around each home.



In a previous year, several homes hosted Christmas parties — an evening filled with joy, good food, family, friends, and gifts.
