Friends and Family of LCKS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit governed by a volunteer board — many of whom have a family member in the Life Centers of Kansas network. We don't run the Life Centers facilities — we support the people who live there. Our mission is simple: make sure every resident, especially those with little or no outside family support, gets to experience joy, connection, and the everyday extras that make life feel full.
Your donation goes directly toward things residents wouldn't otherwise have access to: outings, celebrations, personal belongings, and the kind of individual care and attention that comes from a whole community showing up for them.
Just $15 a month can help a resident
- Enjoy a movie, museum visit, or trip to the zoo
- Have new clothing, bedding, or personal hygiene items of their own
- Receive support through our Client Needs Program when they have no one else to turn to
- Celebrate a birthday, holiday, or milestone with a gift made just for them
Your gift goes further than you'd think. Past support from families like yours has funded iPads for residents to stay connected, a hands-on cooking program where clients prepared meals for their own group homes, Angel Tree Christmas gifts and holiday meals, and a Golf Tournament that raised over $30,000 in a single year — every dollar going straight to residents, not overhead.
