Community/Museum Memberships
This year we provided memberships to Union Station and to Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center. Both of these memberships allow for unlimited visits during daytime hours. The clients have been exposed to new activities and have enjoyed their time at these venues.
We have also provided a social membership to the Olathe Community Center. There are many activities offered, from swimming, walking and working out. But the clients enjoy swimming the most.

Everybody finds something they love to see or do!
There is so much joy in exploring the wonderful Johnson County Museum, Union Station and getting involved in community actiivites. Did we mention? We have some residents that just love the water!

Everyone loves, Mr Stinky Feet! We are so pleased we are bringing for 2 performances during 2023 and 2024.

Movin' and Groovin' with Father John! They love it so much, we have him scheduled for monthly fun time to move and dance!

Let's Dance! Learning to move and groove, such a good time and exercise too.
Holiday Celebrations

The Angel Tree Project/Holiday Celebrations started in 2017. Our current Holiday Celebration included catered dinner, that some of these clients have never experienced before. Everyone had a great time!
In December 2021, holiday cheer came to twenty clients who received gifts from the Angel Tree. These are clients who do not have strong family support where they can enjoy the joyful season. Their eyes lit up when the parcels arrived and it gave the FFLCKS such satisfaction to see how this type of support can change lives. |
In-Home Events
One parent/guardian from each residential home works with a quarterly budget, given by FFofLCKS for the purpose to put together events for the residents.
These are special events or activities, and when possible include family members
and guardians. The purpose is to create an extended community for the residents
at each home.
In a previous year a couple of the homes decided to have Christmas Parties. An evening filled with joy, good food, family, friends and gifts!
